Looking for a transom mount 80lb 24v with a 50-52" shaft, I really don't want to go with 36v. All I see are 42" shafts

Just get a shaft enhancement...may need to change shaft to 50"-52" , the handle on riptide flips up at 45 degree angle and helps if head is lower over motorguide also

I did find replacement shaft but do I really spend $800 on a motor to tear it a part before it gets wet. Not out of the question just checking if there is something I missed

i just got a tiller extension on mise and it helped but its not the same. I wanted to get a new shaft on my new troller but didnt want to void warranty

I have a 24v 80lb Riptide with a 60" shaft but it's a bow mount. not sure if they still make them but i don't know why they wouldn't?

Make you a deal m69side. Buy the bow mount troller with shaft you want. I'll swap you straight across the spring front thingy for the transom mount thingy from my Riptide. I want one of those mounts from Elite and need the Minnkota nose piece.

Will post pictures of my transom mount from Riptide tomorrow. Never been mounted or used.

I have seen pics of the elite mount, I would like to see more pics of the riptide side I can't tell how this works exactly. I have been to Bass pro, Gander mt. no one around me has a riptide in stock to look at. Maybe because its still 15deg and snowing...

that riptide in the left picture is mine. the white part is the head off the SF/BG model (the one with a extruded aluminum body and hydraulic lift assist). the head unit can be bought at any minn kota dealer for around $95 and fits and minnkota carbon shaft. so if you find the right shaft length you want in a riptide, maxxima, or fortrex you can buy the head and the Elite mount.

caint help but drool over the 2nd troller down on that page, no need for a outboard.

Thanks starting to understand, also looks like 2 different 360 bowguards, one is removable Fortrex and Riptide SF
and non-removable Maxxum, riptide sm

So for 80lbs 24v 52" shaft hand control, only option I see is the Riptide SF with a custom mount from Elite or my own

On the bow, but I don't want a big footprint of the typical bow mount.

Spend $30-45 and get a transom mount bracket. I know Minn kota makes them for every one of thier motors then sell the other mount or keep as a backup.

Get a Minkota bracket from bowfishing extreme and make your own.

Has anyone tried contacting motorguide or minnkota and see about a "custom" made troller, might charge a fortune but might do it, never know till ask
