Minn Kota Traxxis 70 Transom Mount Trolling Motor(42" Shaft). Bow mounted it by flipping the head around. 1848 flush deck. Way more than enough power for lakes but there is one honey hole we have that it can't pull the boat fast enough to move forward in the water...

Buddies boat is remote control... Some hate foot control but I still like to shoot, fight, reel and control boat, all at same time.

 

Foot control in the recessed pan is where its at!

 

An old MK 28# on my 17 foot v-hull it works but I spend a lot of time on the outboard

I am pretty set on going to a Motorguide and Lowrance by the end of the year. I will stay 24V, I have not felt a need for the 36V but do want the hand control and the Lowrance network connection so I can use my phone or iPad as another screen.

 

I have a Minn Kota Vantage in the garage that will go on the front. Once it's mounted I'll probably fabricate a guard/lock bracket around it.

 

MG 70 on a 2072 been running it for 5yrs no problem. It was built by local shop old school head no circuit board.

 

Anyone ever try those watersnake brand trolling motors?

all that talk about how good my V2 pd 80 has been and it quit steering last night... Gotta figure out whats up... google says bad connection.. we shall see.
