I am new to bow fishing and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction on lavon I just bought a boat and bowfishing setup and can't find fish have no idea where to start all I do is drive around the lake haven't shot a arrow at anything but some brem any help would be a big help thanks

I haven't been on Lavon this year. Last I heard, it sucked right now. But I guess you already new that. There's a tournament on Ray Roberts on the 14th. Good fishing there. Show up and meet a lot of guys from around the area. Good luck and welcome to the site.

The best direction on lavon is to hook up your boat to your car and head west or north. I have fished that lake a bunch last year it was so/so (its a good lake beacuse its 5 min. from my house) this year im willing to bet that the low low low water screwed it up. last year a good night on lavon was 60-100. This year seeing 10-15 short nose a night is lucky. I havnt seen one buff/carp there in the 5 or 6 trips ive gone and honestly i just quit going. Shoot me a pm if you have any questions.
