You need to start by moving your nock point UP. What bow is it? Retriever or spinner?

We have found over the years that "tailing line" will actually help the arrow to stabilize in flight so tuning your bow with line UNattached is "truly" tuning it.If you're getting good holes thru paper without line,it should be even better with line attached,especially from a spinner.Since a retriever offers very little drag to the arrow,tuning WITHOUT line attached is especially important for longer range shots since the drag,or stabilization,on the arrow is less.

3/8"-1/2" high is not unusual.

Use some clamps or xlarge paper clips and get you some newspaper or butcher paper.Make a makeshift frame of some sort to attach the paper to...then shoot thru the paper @ around 5-7ft.This will tell you what your arrow is doing out of the bow.Of course a fairly straight arrow helps...
