ive finally decide to cut up an old 1648 and build it the way it shouldve been built. .125 floor. and make it 60" wide. anyway, ive never owned a slick bottom or a tunnel hull only had pods on jons. when i get it built I am gonna though on a 40hp 4stk yamaha tiller. planning on pods either way but should i tunnel it? i love to runing the rivers but i dont want to sacrifice inches in the shallows where displacement and weight are big factors. whats you best argument?
tunnel or a slick bottom?

You will not have much performance with a tunnel. Your speed will be much lower. I had a tunnel so I would have a tall transom. Took a bunch of work to get my speed back. Four blade prop, venting the tunnel, etc. Rambo I got your pm. Give me a call. It's easier to answer questions on the phone.
