When in doubt, keep it simple. I use a simple overhand knot to make a loop. Double your line- roughly 5" and tie an overhand knot. It doesn't matter if you shoot spinners and tie to the back, or if you shoot slides/rings with a Retriever- the knot is the same. Glue is not needed. This video describes it better than I can:

i do 2 over hand knots one on reteiver line and 1 on arrow

That's how i tie my knots! never had a problem once with them :tu: only time i've had a problem is when i shot through a gar and it's scales cut the line... lucky i had a glow in the dark arrow so i got it back i just had to reach to the bottom and grab it
