That won't work with the way I shoot...lots of times shooting small gar I pull the string back like 18" so I don't blow through a small fish...so if I used slides and forgot to push the button the arrow wouldn't pull off the bow string!
Yep cant draw your arrow if the button isn't pushed. Slides are for little girls. :tu:

I have nothing against tying to the back but i have a straight shooter rod on my bow so if i reel the line up tight every time i can't even draw my bow back more than about 3 or 4 inches before it pops off the string... i always snap shoot little gar it's just too much of a pain in my arse to shoot through em

That's what those adjustment bolts are for on your limbs. You turn them equal amounts counter clockwise until you stop shooting through fish. Works like a dream.

I always have used slides in the past, never tried another method. Guess ill try it this year
I tried that last year... what a cluster F... for some reason I can load a arrow so much faster with a slide... but I could see tie to the back if you get lots of blow thru's I just cut my line and tie a knew knot when that happens...

Haha thanks but i'm already down to 35lbs and i feel like i need that in order for some of the carp up here... i've shot more than one that my arrow didn't go through. Also last year i watched my roommate shoot a Monster common with his 60lb bow at full draw and not even stick into it, the arrow didn't penetrate past the barbs so when the fish took off the arrow just fell out.
Thanks for the advice i'm just going to choose not to take it :pop:

I'm not going to fight it anymore, the ppl that want to believe it will and the ones that wont don't need to. There is no need to fight over the internet, that's just a waste of my time...

I've never shot big Green but i've always wanted to make a trip down there, i normally make a trip or 2 down there to ice fish some lakers but idk if there is going to be enough ice this year...

IMO slides are like training wheels. Good to start learning with, but once you tie to the back, you never go back.

I noticed once I did away with slides, and started tying to the back, I started getting better arrow flight and more consistency.
