Not all line will break...never ever ever tie to the back of ur arrow If ur using the retriver/bottle! That kinda line will stretch and come back like a sling shot and KILL YOU...
I don't post in here a hole lot but great vids man. I might have to give it try sometime cuz I've always shot with slide heard one to many horro stories about tieing to the back. Guess you can say that I was being a chicken chit to give it a try lol.
Happens from time to time in the heat of the moment...it just pulls the line over the handle and dramatically slows down the arrow, but never had it grab the handle good enough to make a knot and pop the line...
i might have missed someone else asking but did you try a qd rest, i want to tie to the back but worry about doing it with the QD, don't know if anyone else does it or has tried, and i don't have the money to be testing and loosing a bunch of arrows either i guess that is why i never tried
Brady when you tie to the back and it comes undone I am going to guess you are shooting threw gar. Little tip here when you stick it threw the hole go around the arrow under the line and then over the nock it wont come off misterisly again.
About the only way 200# FF wont break is if you're drawing less than 25 pounds and are snapshooting. I wish I had a dollar for every time that my FF didn't break. It will freak you out the first few times you see an arrow stop dead in its tracks right in front of your face.
I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to shoot slides or tie to the back. This is my first year shooting with a spinner. Question is why do some hate slides so much. They take away the problem breaking line and loosing arrows, making sure line Is laid in the rest every time, and getting line tangled in your reel. Looking for some info thanks. Btw great video Brady
That too, I like skinny platinum blondes with big butts, Jace likes brunette girls with a great personality and a big butt too! C what I'm sayin, we both like the same thing, but we like it a little different.

good video but I'm still not sold...lol.. I really gave it a honest go last year and hated it... I can load my arrow faster when shooting numbers with slides... only time I liked shooting tied to the back was with a reel seat that sat above my hand for some reason...
whats your draw length on the Oneida...? reason I ask is after I watched the video I grabbed my Tom cat and BE and both pull the knock off the serving about half draw on a 31in draw use the Strait Shooter Rod... my wifes wheel bow doesn't pull the arrow off until she is about a inch or so from full draw 25in... but with the muzzy rod it pulls off about half way into her draw...

I think in Bradys first vid he breaks the line with 18# BUT NOT SNAP SHOOTING but still neat.
I have shot with slides most of the time 150 power pro always breaks It gets in the heat and I might have to much line out and wraps the handle. POW it has broken everytime.
Last year i shot spinner and epoxy tied to the back it worked ok but loading the line in the groove seemed to be just awkward at times but it did work well.
Great video maybe we should get a machine shooter video with retriver and show a couple snap backs might just help people under stand why not to tie to the back with them. At least the newbies that have just started shootin
one of the main dislikes of slides is that with them you can draw and shoot without pushing the button, which then you have a blown up reel....vs....a tangle every now and then, and a lost arrow. You do the math between new arrow or new spinner. Also My arrows seem to fly more consistent tied to the back. Its the way I have done it since day one and just works for me.Looking back I honestly can not remember ever having a loop come off either?
