Would a v-bottom work ok for making a bowfishing boat? A couple I know said her dad is selling his boat. It's a 16ft v-bottom that is 5ft. wide. It comes w/ trailer, 9.9hp motor and a trolling motor for $1000. I havn't seen the boat yet so I have no clue what it looks like. I am just worried about being able to build a deck on it. Would rather find a flat bottom boat.

We had one did us great! See the show ur boats thread and look at about the third post there's pics of it there ours was 16 1/2 foot and 60 inches across the back bottom corners

we shoot any place we can find water!!! lol we get pretty close to you at times! whats the width on that 18 foot john boat? thats not much motor if its a wide bottom but if its not an old narrow rivited boat that still might be a heck of a deal? got any pics of it?
