Has anybody here ever taken any waterfowl with there bow? I got a spot im gonna try tomorrow but I don't have any flu flu arrows so I'm just gonna use my bowfishing bow and an innerloc propoint and see what I can get. Gonna get my boat set up in a spot I always see mallards dropping into and cover it with tules. Also gonna hopefully get some good video of it.

As long as u don't have string attached to the line I believe you're good. However I wouldn't want one of my heavy fishing arrows hitting me in the head. THUMP and lights out. I've attempted once before, harder than u would think. I'm planning on trying it again this year when the field geese start doing better.

I always was thinking about trying it with my bowfishing bow, I'll have to check with the warden if it's legal to have a string attached to the arrow...
I know people that have shot geese in fields when they landed and the goose flew away with the arrow sticking outta it... I'm thinking gobbler guillotine might work for geese? Thwack! no more head!

I guess that answers my question lol. I know some of the old timers use to use a string tracker, what would that be considered? Legal due to the fact that it's not tied to anything on the back of the string?

Looks like I won't be trying it then lol. I thought it would make more sense to have a string attached. Oh well and thanks for posting deffinatly saved me some trouble seeing as I was gonna get video of it.

probably illigel but take 4 lead weights tie to each corner of a 5by 5 foot fish net kinda like a fish cast net and when group flies in really close early in the morning and just before they touch the water make a cast way the indians did it ,why you find plummets around water.

Shooting a bird on the fly is something I will do eventually. Since duck hunting and bowfishing are the only things I do its gonna be ducks and geese and I'm gonna get with arrows.
