So i got a fiberglass trihull and with an aluminum deck, a generator, 8 lights, 2 batteries, and a generator it sits pretty low to the water. Anyone got any ideas how to lighten the load or make float pods to help with the weight? me and my buddy were thinking about pvc pipes and somehow bolting them on but arnt sure how to manage it. Unable to get a bigger boat due to being in college and fishing bass tournaments so that takes a lot of my money at the moment. thanks for any ideas u guys have

Where’s old Watersnake when we need him??? How big is the tri hull , length and how wide is it as well as how deep are the sides, nice to know what your working with... lay off the cheese burgers and start eating salads is another idea....

This is going to sound ridiculous but my buddy over here in minnesota has a little 12 or 14 ft fishing boat and he made floats out of 55 gallon drums attached to a 2x4 frame with a sheet of plywood over it. He uses that.... If that draws you a picture.

You might be able to have a upholstery shop or someone with a HD sewing machine take some seat belt webbing and sew some loops in it that you could strap some PVC tubes to the side. You could use ratchet straps with some hooks on the ends to fasten them to the hull so it was easy on/easy off. Put your batteries midship. You don't say what size lights your using. You could use some housings mounted to the rails and ditch the deck or go to a smaller deck to save weight. Maybe one person fish the front and one off the back? What size lights are you using? Use the smallest genny you can get away with. You don't say what you're using for propulsion. I see a troller. You could use one like pontoons use that have a small holder for mounting it to the deck and lose the one you have with the big mount? Just some ideas.

My first boat was a trihull this is what I did first I ripped up the floor and replace all the old wet insulation with new dry replaced the floor with aluminum, than I cut out anything I didn't need in the boat . when I was done I took out 300lbs of wet insulation and useless fiberglass parts.
