Just got myself a shippment of awesome custom flopper stoppers myself.. I am tickled with the quality and artistic genious that goes into one of these exceptional devices..
Been real busy latley so I haven't had time to take pics and post them like I want to. But this post has inspired me to try and get it done tomorrow before the sun goes down.. Got some related items that are sure to cause a new fashion trend amoung the ladies of the hunting world. I think Tiffiany Latoshy would sport em if she could only get her hands on some! Like I said pics to follow soon.

About anything I can get my hands on. Most of em are made from dunnage...those 3x3 or 4x4 that steel comes to the job stacked on. Mostly oak, lot of poplar, cherry, found a little walnut once, working with some maple right now. When I'm lucky I find a piece or two of ash. Brady's was made out of a brace for an old barn beam so it even has some history to it. Damn thing was heavy! If a snowman cant survive I wouldnt think a possum stood a chance. Might have to start marketing a critter model!

lol Every flopper stopper is shipped out with a printed disclaimer included. "I claim dis bat aint fer smackin husbands" Once it leaves the shop there are no guarantees

 

Fine american craftsmanship right there. Good work gentlemen. A true work of art for Brady.

 

We started out using an old hammer and one day we forgot it so we had to use the oar... log story short we found one floating in the water... we now have the Flopper Stopper 2K

right now my custom flopper stopper is an old ax handle works great but dont have the flash only a little georgia crome wrapped on the end of it
