Cant eat 2000 or more fish after a tournament! No one seems to want all of them and dumping them to hunt yotes or hogs is just tough. We dumped them last year and the only thing we attracted were buzzards....hundreds of them and they crapped on EVERYTHING!!! The zoos dont want them and the gator farms told us that the gators would not eat them. Dumpsters are expensive and asking people to take their fish home is not an option to me.

This comes up every year and I must say that if I dont find someone to start taking the fish from the Trinity River Shootout and others I wont be hosting it next year. To me this is #1 priority for putting on a tournament.

 

Dude if u were closer I would let you dump every single fish at my house! Good luck my friend.

 

I always give mine to the black people on the bank, they love them. I have thought about selling them a time or 2

 

buy an old fertilize truck and put all the carp in it and ask a farmer for a field to dispose....

im lucky, all i mostly shoot is mullet, sheepshead and stingrays. always get to eat them (seriously) or give em to the guys fishing on the bank

LMAO i am not to fond of um this gar and carp thing here i think i will stick to my normal catfish and some crappie maybe a lil sandbass every now and then!!!!

I have found some spanish speaking people who say they love to eat carp, so I give some to them, then I give some to a hog farmer who say yes to all I can give him. If I am too far from my rig to haul them out, the rest I leave in the fields away from view, for the coyotes in the winter and buzzards in the summer.
