Get it down as low as you can Charles, you will appreciate the extra clearance and less tendency to roll and sway the boat as well. With it sitting over the outboard you should not have any problems turnings it for sure, but being that high it will roll if you make a sharp turn and I imagine that thing is going to have some torque to it. Looks sweet!

 

What size is the tubing you used for you fan shroud?

 

I think Slider used 1 inch.

are you bolting your reduction in side or oudside of the shroud? And how much room are you leaving for tension adjustment on the reduction?

The reduction bolt to the motor mounting plate.
The adjustment can be changed on it by adding washer to the bolts.

Hey mud, what kind of battery are you using for that 440? You gonna have a separate batt for the fan motor or run it to the outboard cranking?

 

I have one for the outboard and fan, then one for a trolling motor.

 

can't wait to when it's done.

 

thats one nice boat man i just got my fan brace welded an on my boat dont know how to put pic up hear yet tho lol but its comming good i got my motor an the genny ready ti go thow just wating on my deck and lights now .

 

what sizes fan motor is that mudfish that looks like a motor for a motor bike you thank my 13 hrp will push me hard enuf ? with my 18 56 boat?

 

i got a 13 hp on my 18 ft sea ark and it pushes it just fine

 

Any motor will push, and that a 43 hrp Kaw 2-stroke.
