I used 1 1/4" .125 and worked real good.:tu:

 

I used 2x1 .125 thick, no complaints

 

what are you guys covering your platforms with...besides 600 dollars worth of diamond plate or wood. any other options

I just got through building a deck for mine. I used 3/4 inch x 1/8 inch thick square tubing, 1 inch x 1/8 thick flat metal, 1 1/2 inch angle iron, and 1 inch x 1/1/2 inch expanded metal. It's pretty light weight, and very sturdy. All welded together, except for where it bolts onto the boat.

 

All this only costs about 80 dollars total

i used all 1x1 1/16 for mine worked good and 1/16 aluminum sheets
