3 or 4 years ago. shot at about 100 fish then found an 11 lb. common sunning her self just under the surface shot it high in the back and the only reason i got the fish in the boat was i shot under its spine. there was about a 6 inch gash in the side of the fish where the line cut during the fight. also it was a pass through.

Still working on getting one in the boat first I shot was about a 5ft gar passthru lost both arrow and fish!!!!! So I will post up when I get one been at it a couple of months off and on.

2 to 3# common. I was walking a shallow creek by my house. Shot at him two or three times while chasing him up stream. Trashed the tip on the rocks but got close enough to get the arrow to stick.

Went with a buddy of mine that was scouting for a tournament one night shot at about 30or 40 fish before I hit about a one foot gar. Went on to shoot six more that night and have been hooked ever since then.

Most peoples first fish seems to be a common carp. That's the first fish I killed 18 years ago.

The biggest common I ever shot was my first fish. Weight unknown, but have not seen one that big since.

My first fish was 23 years ago using a buddy's recurve with a coffee can as a hand wrap reel took me all day to hit a little common fishing from the river bank that was before motocross and a badly broken leg so I'm back to bow fishing full-time bout to hit the lake now

My first was 26 years back, shooting a Bear Kodiak Recurve with aluminum arrows and no reel walking the creek banks by myself and shot at and missed atleast 200 times before my 12 year old brain figured out I needed to aim under the dam things. I finally connected on a small common and its been on every since
