I had such a good time fishing with my team mates, and the things that happened this weekend just made it that much better..... All of you who know us heard the story, and I will ask shawn for permission before I post it, but I was curious as to what all else happened that you won't forget?

#1.--Meeting new people!!! I couldnt hav imagined there where so many people who knew me just buy reccognizing my boat build.
#2.--The way Scott from BowfishingExtreme reached out to the bowfishing communitty to raise money for last weeks tragedy.
#3.--Accidently meeting Jonny Morris, I and my team just happened to sit next to Mr. Morris on a set of RR ties. joking a bit and cutting up with lite hearted conversation. As he got up and walked past me i thought " you know, that fella kinda looks like. . . Na, he probly aint even here." As you can imagine I was beside myself when I seen him up on stage telling everyone "man bowfishing ROCKS!"

If by chance JP or Mr. Morris reads this I would like to personaly thank you for your hospitality, You are exceptional sportsmen. I hope by drawing in 130 boats from 23 states with shooters male and female from 10yrs-70 shows just how big bowfishing really is!-Thank You so much!

Ok, so to start this story, MOST airboat when you step on the pedal the boat goes, and when you release, it idles down.....
We were scouting one of the red zones and came up on a flat with grass.... Shawn stands up out of the seat, looks around, and decides to go to the front stick to look closer by using the walk arounds....
Well, I was in the passenger seat, and nick was laying in the floor on life jackets cause it was ccccooollldd!!!!
Shawn steps left and keeps going right out the boat! I'm sitting there looking left trying to figure out how we're running 30 mph with no driver! Took a few seconds for it to register cause I ain't never seen anyone walk off a boat like Forrest Gump! Nick started hollering to shawn during this process, bad idea grabbing the cage, just let go, cause shawn realized he stepped too far and tried to catch the cage on the way... All the while I'm still impressed we're on plane going 30 with no driver!
I jumped into the driver seat as nick got to the front stick and got the throttle let off and turned around.... There shawn was in 3 foot of water waiting on us to pick him up! This was around 10:15 or so Friday nite... No change of clothing. So nick gave him his jacket, and had a pair of overalls( insulated) in a tub, and I gave shawn a pair of my socks, and nick had some rubber boots in the boat, so shawn ended up with a jacket ( no shirt) wet underwear, insulated bibs, a pair of socks and rubber boots.....(I am in no way near shawn or nick's size, so I was no help in the clothing dept!
We scouted the rest of the nite with him dressed like that.... His call!

Anyone feel free to flip these photo's .... My 2 yr old's busy watching Elmo and won't help

Course it probably didn't help I was texting these pics to friends only telling them I'm getting nervous about fishing with these guys.... One's naked, they're cozy, and they're both smiling!!!

This tournament was the coolest event I have ever been to. John Morris told a story about him and his dad showing up to their first bass tournament in little boat and being amazed at all the rangers and other big teams. Then he went on to say how he saw the same promise in tournament bowfishing that he saw in bass fishing years ago.

That really reminded me of my dad and I when we started shooting tournaments several years ago. I am so excited to see where bowfishing can go as a sport and can't wait to shoot with all of the great teams we met again in more national events.

Thanks to Bass Pro and all the other teams for a great weekend

This was my first tournament and I had an awesome time. I want to thank JP and Bass Pro for a great weekend. I really hope that BPS will continue this tournament. To see all those boats from all over the country was totally cool. Every time I turned around I saw an even more Kick A$$ boat than the one before.

Thanks to all the companies who added items for the raffle to help the families of the guys we lost last week. Very classy. Thanks to muzzy for the pink camo beannie. My daughter wore it to bed last night!

I was shooting at a fish thinking it was about 3-4 feet under. Arrow never got to it and the fish never moved. I remember thinking "I'm gonna need a bigger bow!"

Hands down the whole tournament was awesome!!! But personally most memorable moment was racing to our first spot, watching Caleb jones get there 20 seconds ahead of us and then 2 airboats completely decimate a 50x80 yard hole in 5 minutes while a trolling boat watched from about 20 yards away wanting no part in that dance lol it's was bad a$$!

We found 2 big ole snapping turtles while scouting, so I picked one upto ride along with us. We were gonna plop it in 'someones' boat as a prank but that ended up not happening...long story...so it slept in my boat Friday night.

Saturday morning I get up to get a shower, pull back the curtain and almost stepped on the damn thing! Buddy put it in the shower!

The whole thing was fun-saw some baddazz boats, nice mountains, nice views, clean water, big spoonies, just a lot of neat stuff. Met a lot of new poeple, ran into some old friends. Nothing broke, nobody got hurt, and we placed
decent considering the conditions. Cant ask for more than that :)
