******* air boats ..... Small company which usually means great customer service and from what I hear they do have that, and any body that tries to start a buisnes in today's economy is usually going to try 10 times harder on customer service and quality of their product than the older buisnes .... And from what I hear they make some bad Azz boats and are great guys just my 2 cents

This is all true! I can assure you the customer service will be hard to beat at *******, and usually emails are answered within minutes and calls returned promptly.

American Airboat or Diamond Back. They been around long enough that I dont think they are going to screw you over. If I was going to buy one today it would be American Airboat. I like them and thats it. Maybe a few years down the road I would say other but they will get a good or bad rep.

American Airboats without hesitation if I were to do it again! Faron and Stan will take care of you, they have been great to us as have the rest of the American Airboat Staff.

They are good at what they do, have a fast production time, and are a proven company.

Diamondback would be a consideration as well, I know several folks with them and they have been more than happy.

Dropping that kind of money, I would not go with a new company personally. Too many horror stories from people getting boats built (or paying for them to be built) and not receiving them. I have gone through the process, got the boat we wanted built in the time frame we were promised and have been more than satisfied with the boat.

LOL, I am with Steve...

I got a couple of builders in mind, but I think I am just gonna keep em in my mind.

I did not have a bad experience with my Silver Dollar, but an honest friend of mine (NOT H.S.) was behind my build from day one, and I will always be in his debt for taking the initiative to make sure my boat was built right!

there are things about custom boats that I just do not see in the production boats, absolutely nothing wrong with DB, AA, or Alumatech, I'm just a tuna can hull kind of guy...

I would go with someone that would start and finish the boat without a big down payment. I know that some will not start a boat without half down, but unless it's a total custom job they only thing you should pay up front is for the extra custom work. When was the last time you put haft down when you order a new truck, had a house build or any other big ticket item?

I can tell you that I am CHEERING for a new airboat company to get off the ground and get some experience under their belts. There is a real market for the Silver Dollar basic design out there. Ol Speed may be a crock but that rascal actually knew what it took to build a sturdy boat that would perform.
I have nothing against the new guys! I am just waiting to see what happens before throwing my name in with them. Anyone remember RedRiver and Texoma boats? Lots of folks on here hooping about how great they were and the DID turn out a few nice boats. Then BAM the same old song and dance ponzi scheme.
