im stayin home and preparing for the rest of the year. i have been planning to build a fan on my rig for the last 4months. even though i havent started it yet there is a pile of parts strung out across the house waiting on warm weather. I would like to go cause i know JP will far out do himself from last year but there is life without the US open. Im not mad nor am i protesting but i can imagine there are many, many people that own "air" and nothin else that really wish they could attend. hopefully some day there will be a big sponsor host a shoot that is just as big as this one but open to all boats. the biggest part of my trip last year was seeing all the different types of rigs that attended from $700-$70,000 i enjoyed seeing every one. meeting up with my BFC friends for the first time and learning what clear water really was. the 550mile journey last year really opened my eyes, this sport is still in its premature stages and the future is very bright. having bowfishing Bill and his family beat all the serious teams of grown men that come from all over the US put it in perspective for me. the biggest, fastest, most expensive boat isnt near as good as the man who knows where to go and how to put fish in the boat in every condition. its not the best gear but the best knowledge of what his gear is capable of and knowing how to bring it all together. I wish all that do make the trip a safe journey and full barrels.
