What's it worth?

Hey guys, I hope this isn't violating any rules but I was wondering if I might be able to get an idea of what yall think this boat would be worth. Its a 2010 1870 Weldbuilt with a 2010 70hp Tohatsu. Boat, deck, and fan mount are all all welded aluminum. Has 9 500w Halos and a 20hp Honda fan. This thing is a tank and incredibly sturdy but we might have to sell her. Just trying to feel out the market. There are some more minor adjustments that need to be made(better handle for throttle, better fuel pump for fan motor, etc...) but nothing big. All the lights are sealed and there are no exposed wires to them. Just an estimate would be great. Thanks guys and sorry I don't have more pics!

The reason I ask is that I am only part owner of the boat and wanted to know if $12,500 would be worth taking. I just have not clue what the market is like. Thnx guys

I think 12,500 is a pretty low offer IMO, but I don't know much about that outboard.

I can tell you new a boat like that would run 12-14k for the hull, trailer and fan set up from a custom builder so I think closer to 14-15 is a reasonable offer

I should have been more clear. That price is for me to buy it from my buddy. He put the money in it and I basically built it all, so I'm getting a better price on it. I just want to get some reassurance that at least the fact that its an all welded aluminum tank will keep its value down the line some.

got more specs on the fan? What kind of prop? Reduction or direct drive? shroud material?

I would start higher than 12,500 but your in the ballpark of what it will more than likely sale for. However, you done shot yourself in the foot by letting the cat out of the bag on here. People are going to try and jew you down well below the 12,5 mark... LOL

If your buying your buddy out then that's a good deal for you I can tell you that.

As far as value, the only thing I can see cutting into the value of that boat is the saltwater use.

IMO thats valuing the boat at $25k if buying half for $12,500. I wouldnt do that. Tell him youd give half of what you could sell it outright for assuming the other half is already yours. For the 12.5 PLUS your half I think you could use the cash and buy a better one.

edit: unless Im understanding wrong and youd be paying half the 12,500 price then its a great deal

Ya it adds up to I put about $2000 in it and the work and He put about $1600 in it so If i buy it that puts me in a little better position. I think at least the boat and motor will keep their values. BTW its a saltwater engine, steel shroud, 32" aeroprop. 5500W Briggs and straton Genny. If I didn't buy it I don't think I could build the same for less than the $14,5 that I have(will have) put in it.
