So I was talking some budgeting stuff with my new young wife yesterday (been married 6 months). I'm trying to weasel out some cash to get LED's set up on the old duck boat. And she springs out...
"I'm not sure how I feel about you starting this bowfishing thing, it's seems pretty white trash. I'm okay with the duck hunting and bass fishing, that seems somehow noble. This just seems like an excuse to stay out late on the water and drink beer."
I tried to go into some shpeal about how it's better at night, and you have to have the lights to see em, etc, etc. Then I just gave up and told her it's something I really like, and she can deal with it. Or better yet, come with me.
Any of y'all had a similar convo?
