i know that feeling i was so pi$$ed but man once i sucked it up and bought the honda from wise equipment and heard how much quited that thing is even compared to the generac and no issues oh baby im so glad i had to spend that extra money now lol
soog i don't think you would have problems with running the convertors off a generac i don't think the convertors are as senstive to the "clean power" like the hps lights are
but yes its luck of the draw some are fine some aren't as good
Well my partner purchased it for the boat with new lights. I was just glad another member was spending money and not me. It will run six of them fine. Great running little genny.
I pulled the panel off to see if it had two sets of wires running to the plug. It dont it has one set to the plug. Seems like a lot of amps running through the two cords to the two little wires on the plug of the genny.
We gave a generac 2000 inverter genny, runnin 5 250s hps, with digital ballast and an extra 150 halogen for a light in the boat, she's carrying a full load, struggles when you turn the lights on but then it plains off
I'm using one to push my 6 175 watt MH's and love it. We used it last year at the Stockton Mo. tourney on my buddys boat to push his 2 250's and 6 150's HPS's with out any issues.I'm sure they are like most things out there and there are a few bad ones in the batch.I ran mine all last summer and 6 trips this year until we sank the boat. For some reson it didn't like the water in it.
