Diamondback. I've been on diamondbacks, americans, alumatechs, silver dollars, and air gators. Diamondbacks turn when you want to, and cost a little less than the rest without sacrifice of quality. After visiting their shop and seeing what they will do for their customers, I was sold. Only wish I could afford one!:rage:

If I have to do it again, I will be going with Americian. You cant replace customer service and people who stand behind their products.

Dont get me wrong, I love my ole sardine can Silver Dollar, but it has been one hell of a learning experience. My buddy and I have learned how to work on alot of airboat related stuff due to a company who did not honor their warranty and disappeared in the middle of the night. Some of the things that I have had to pay out of pocket for should have been covered under some kind of warranty by the builder.

Now back to Americian, since my builder has gone belly up, Faron has been nice enough to help me get certain parts for my Levitator engine, see Pleasurecraft will only sell their parts through dealerships, and since my dealer does not exhist anymore, I have been kinda stranded. Faron and the parts guys at Americian Airboats have gone above and beyond to keep me out on the water in a former competitior's boat. That says alot about the character of these guys!

If I was going to take a loan out on one I would def choose American again! I am building my current boat out of pocket and trying to do a lot of the work myself to save some cash. Farona nd the rest of American are nothing but the best. Yes, they may b a little pricier, but you always pay more for the best. There customer service is bar none, and they will stand behind their product. Also, MOST IMPORTANTLY.....they will be here tomorrow, and the next day. Im loving the new deeper hulls they got going for them. We need to get together and have them come out with a wider fronted boat for bowfishing!! Keep up the good work American! and Faron....i know your disappointed in me for not going with you guys....but u know ill be back!

I would go with American on an Air Boat for sure, to damn expensive of a rig to cut corners and wonder if your builder is going to be their next week to take care of your needs. Ill gladly pay more for quality and customer service!!!!! What good is a cheap boat if the damn thing doesnt work right or even worse doesnt work right and no warranty. You get what you pay for in this world!

I like the way ******* is building and setting up there boats, also depends on what your gonna do with your boat. I would love to have an air ranger and have spent hundreds of hours in them spraying, but my bowfishing team would sink one standing on the front because water would be coming in. any given night i have at least 900 pounds with 3 people and over 1100 pounds with 4. thats why i have a barge!!! it dont take water over the front and I can shut down going wide open and not feather it and it aint coming over the back.

i told the guys they got to get on a diet though so we can get a boat thats smaller faster and handles better:D:D

Me and my buddy bought a Diamondback back during the winter and was very pleased with customer servie throughout each step. Planning, the build and final delivery. We visited the shop 2 or 3 times during the build and was always treated like friends. Had small issues with other builders but nothing that would stop from buying a boat from them. If you go with a reputible company you won't have any issues.

Plumbing is alot diff then boat building but our workmanship has our warranty and any other form of warranty comes Entirly from the manufacturer. But in the end we have to do whatever maKes the customer happy

This is true, we warranty anything that is our bad, if we install the reduction wrong then sure we will do what it takes to make it right, but if the reduction goes boom because of a manufacturing defect we cant cover that ourselves, we can work with the customer to help, but you cant expect the boat builder to be out that cost.

If it was determined we caused the issue we'd fix it. And I can understand your reasoning there. One thing we won't do is try and tell you not to go with someone else. It's your choice who you choose to build your boat. All the manufacturers listed so far build a great boat. There is only one company I will ever tell people not to go with and that's Silver Dollar for obvious reasons. Diamondback, American, and the others are great boats! We build a differnet style then them and they build a dofferent style then us.

Impaled, like I said if you can show us where something broke on our bad then yes well make it right!

I don't agree with what happened to you in you SD situation and would feel upset about that as well.

As far as warranty on the labor I doubt the manufacturers cover labor(although I have not checked) and by reading your post it seems you are insinuationg that they don't either. If that drive system were to fail on you and it be on the drive manufacturer warranty we would work with you their, I'm not saying we would or could completely change them out free of cost, but we would definitely do our part to try and help out the customer in any way possible!

Shawn wants his customers to be happy, end of story! My best advice to someone that's concerned with the Oklahoma boat builder stereotype that was created by other builders would be to call Shawn! He's as honest and up front person as I have met!

Hoopty i am lookin into it. I have never owned one so i am lookin for advice. i am going to look at american on tuesday and from there i dont know where i will look. i know i want at least an 18x8 or bigger turn key boat.

So what is the warranty on a *******? That question has yet to be answered in my opinion.

5 year Hull warranty transferable, One year motor and Drive warranty. Come up and take a look well have a couple of turnkey boats in there in a couple weeks just sent the waco boat out.

From my experience, we have been nothing but happy with our Air Ranger!

Faron, Stan, and the whole gang over there have gone above and beyond for us!

I can recommend them with full confidence in my name being attached to the recommendation that they will build what you want, in the time quoted and stand behind their product!!
