Sorry im just getting back to this. Like clark said if the reduction goes boom, we will be happy to help as far as contacting the manufacturer and helping you with their warranty. Im not sure what other companies do as far as warranty but i wouldnt think anyone carries their own warranty on someone elses product

So if the owner has proof that the reduction was installed wrong, or not to the specs recomended by the manufacturer, then yall would warranty 100% of the costs?

See, reason I ask is cause this hypothetical situation was a reality for me. SD told me to take matters up with Century Drive, call CD and they tell me that they are well aware of the Ok builders (Pre *******) not installing the reductions as instructed.

I pulled up the set of instructions and read them, then looked at how the reduction was mounted to my boat and sure enough, it was not mounted as the CD instrctions called for, so I was SOL on a warranty from either party...

Dont know IF I agree on that "its not our product so its not our problem policy"

Even if CD would warranty it direct to me, I am still out labor costs on a brand new boat that should have full warranty...

No offense to yall, but I have had my "taste" of a exceptional boat at a bargin price already. As I stated above, if there is ever a next go around for me and airboats, I will be trying a different approach.

If it was determined we caused the issue we'd fix it. And I can understand your reasoning there. One thing we won't do is try and tell you not to go with someone else. It's your choice who you choose to build your boat. All the manufacturers listed so far build a great boat. There is only one company I will ever tell people not to go with and that's Silver Dollar for obvious reasons. Diamondback, American, and the others are great boats! We build a differnet style then them and they build a dofferent style then us.

Impaled, like I said if you can show us where something broke on our bad then yes well make it right!

I don't agree with what happened to you in you SD situation and would feel upset about that as well.

As far as warranty on the labor I doubt the manufacturers cover labor(although I have not checked) and by reading your post it seems you are insinuationg that they don't either. If that drive system were to fail on you and it be on the drive manufacturer warranty we would work with you their, I'm not saying we would or could completely change them out free of cost, but we would definitely do our part to try and help out the customer in any way possible!

Shawn wants his customers to be happy, end of story! My best advice to someone that's concerned with the Oklahoma boat builder stereotype that was created by other builders would be to call Shawn! He's as honest and up front person as I have met!

The loves of custom boats, pay $65k for a Ranger bass boat and it has a screw fall out their warranty is all over it. Pay $65k for an air boat and have issues,, well good luck!

Hoopty i am lookin into it. I have never owned one so i am lookin for advice. i am going to look at american on tuesday and from there i dont know where i will look. i know i want at least an 18x8 or bigger turn key boat.

So what is the warranty on a *******? That question has yet to be answered in my opinion.

5 year Hull warranty transferable, One year motor and Drive warranty. Come up and take a look well have a couple of turnkey boats in there in a couple weeks just sent the waco boat out.

From my experience, we have been nothing but happy with our Air Ranger!

Faron, Stan, and the whole gang over there have gone above and beyond for us!

I can recommend them with full confidence in my name being attached to the recommendation that they will build what you want, in the time quoted and stand behind their product!!

Can't believe I left out GTO airboats out of Ocala, FL. I believe they have one of the best warranties in the industry. Lifetime hull warranty and 2 years on the motor, reduction, and prop.

Americans Warranty is as follows:

Lifetime Hull warranty, you will not crack or break one weld on our hull or we will repair it at no charge!
2-year polymer warranty against leakage.
2-year metal work warranty against manufacturer defects.
Motor Warranties available up to 2 years

Gto claims to have 2 year engine warranties. I have had mine 6 months and the will not take care of there problems.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with GTO. I'm just throwing out some options as far as reputable builders. Personally I've built my last two boats from the hull up, but they are deckover sleds not deep water hulls. Bowfishing boats these are not!
