The lakes and most of the rivers are still frozen up here, but a buddy and I found some open water that had some big carp. Shot 4 with 2 of them being 20 lbs. We decided to let it sit and are going back tomorrow to hopfully stick a few.

Well my trip was a bust. Couldn't get the boat of the trailer at the first spot (not enough water). Went to a new spot and shot one shad and that's all we seen. But atleast we got on the water. Maybe tomorrow

If you were on the lakes wish you would have called...I would have told ya you were crazy. Lol Never had luck this early. Tried for years with little success. That's why until someones shows me where they're at, mine is in the shop for another month....I had even contemplated it but you eased my itch to go. Thanks fwg! I will sleep better now!

Little Killer and I went out to see if we could get lucky and shoot some grassies. Water temp here was 57 deg. Didn't find the grassies but did see quite a few commons. Dang blue cats everywhere but we can't shoot em here.
