Metal shaft? Breaks easier although you can snap anything if ya do it right.

 

I was always a MinnKota fan but I bought my current boat with a Great White 82 and have had 0 problems so far..... I had constant issues out of my MK 70 until they upgraded me to an 80. Still had a few issues with the boards and armatures then.

 

Shaft bends every time you hit something.

 

just my opinion
motor guides are ment not to rust. they are salt life. when it comes to bending they are great at that too. lol

 

I'm personally MotorGuide all the way. I think this is like a Ford vs. Chevy vs. Dodge discussion. Plenty of plusses and minuses on both.....
