Went out with my uncle last night, he has been bowfishing for over 20 years. Has had this bow for 15 and shot tied to the back with a roller rest. He is shooting 65# with an original AMS retriever.
He went to shoot at a fish on my side and BAM! Sounded like his bow blew up. He went down to his knees holding his face.
It looks like the string tied itself into a clean tight knot right at the string nock.
It went deep and that whole skin flap opens wide and deep
I know this is going to open a can of worms, but had to post after last nights incident
The bottom gash and there is another a little higher and a crape between the two where we think the nock broke and hit as did the end of the arrow
