Guess thats another reason to shoot heavier pounds!!!!LOL!
Exactly what I was thinking. I ripped the trigger clear off of a retriever about 3 weeks ago but my arrow didn't snap back. :shocked:

I have since mounted a spacer to lower the reel and added one of those foam dildos to a new trigger to keep it from happening again, though. :laugh:
 
I don't tie to the back, either.

The safety slide doesn't help you much when the line jumps behind the trigger on a retriever, though. That's why AMS has started putting line guards on the triggers this year.
