Like the title says, wondering if these will fire an HPS or if an ignitor needs to be added. I searched like crazy and cant find any information.

Reason I am asking is because I had a similiar High bay light that said HPS and when I put an HPS bulb in it, the bulb flickered about 3 times then that was it. nothing else happened, so I wanted to know if theres was something else that needed to be added or something

he says they will spark everything so are they digital?

I think the only difference in a MH and HPS is the HPS needs a ignighter to fire the bulb...MH don't need one...so worst case if you buy it and it won't fire HPS buy an ignighter and wire it in..those look like old magnetic ballast...should be a easy fix
