Well count me out. the lake is not the greatest right now and the stumps are everywhere. Plus their is no way you can go Bowfishing all night without any beer. What were they thinking.

Look guys this is their deal, I don't imagine this was set up for us, but we were invited to participate, so if your not at Anahuac and want to try your luck, go ahead. This is another group, it sounds like, just wanting to throw a tournament, similar to the OutHouse group shooting tournaments on Whitney. Either go or don't go, simple as that. If you can't play by their rules, I would suggest you don't go. We have had problems with this lake and airboaters acting like assses. This is our chance to show them we are not "those" guys, we don't act like that.

Tony since you are representing them and they obviously talked to you, did you discuss with them the other tournament dates or did you throw a date out there with out looking?

Wright Patman is one of my favorite lakes to fish that is located next to my farm and I would like to shoot it. Numbers in the past have been good at the Tri-state shoots in september. There was only one airboat that acted like an ass so using a plural term is incorrect.

No sir, I got notification that the association paid a TBA sanction fee. Upon further investigation and an e-mail conversation with the lady, I told her I could post up the tournament on a forum, she said great. That's all the "representing" I have done. I directed her to our TBA website for general rules, etc...

Don't know the whole airboat incident, but it seems like tournaments a few years ago were frowned upon, now they are holding one in cooperation with the TPWD and the Corp of Engineers. With everyone wanting to hold the "next big" tournament, there are going to be some overlaps. What do you do? There's only so many months in a year. August is full with Anahuac, Texas State and recently LSTT Championship. I think MS state is in Aug. too.

I tell you what Preston, why don't you send me your tournament schedule and I'll have everyone dance around you. How about that?
Will that be ok?

Just kidding P, we all do what we can and I do look forward to working more with NWLA a little better next year. We need to get together early though.

Well I tried to be nice about my opposition and tried to help you get more teams to the tournament, BUT Since you want to call me out Tony then here you go, I call it the way I see it:

You have had our schedule - but you either one do not look at, care to work together as states or just do it to piss me off!!! Or better yet, I think you schedule them when everyone is gone so you have a better chance on winning. I posted about opposition of the Toledo tournament in november, but you chose to ignore it. We moved our date to help out your Palestine tournament and the Texas teams even though it was not the optimum time for Toledo. Part of working together is discussing the options to get the most number of teams to a tournament and structuring it so everyone has a good time. Not bashing the guy who says that is the same date as Anahuac - everyone else is thinking the same thing but not posting it. Would you of bashed Hoopty for saying that - NO cause he will be at Anahuac.

But this post had nothing to do all the drama, it is all about Anahuac. Anahuac is the best shooters in Texas and surrounding areas. If you look at all the big tournaments, which ones separate the men from the boys or which one would you want to win? It is the Cajun/World championship in Lafitte or Anahuac.

Oh just kidding - T. We look forward to working with you next year.

If it was Hoopty I would have made an additional statement of NO SHAD.
Yes, Toledo Bend/Coffee City could have been different with the exception of one was set by you, the other
was working with another Entity "The City of Coffee City", so the best I could do was offer a few dates.
Oh and if you look, I've only shot one tournament this season, so I'm not worried about winning anything, matter
of fact I would shoot Anahuac not matter what tournament was going on cause your right it's a man's man tournament.
It should stay that way, NO TRAILERING. But I'm not running that one either, so not much I can do Preston except to tell
you that I really do look forward to putting some stuff together next year, but it ain't gonna be easy. I'm not a dictator, I
get buy in from several people, or a board, or a whole City Economic Development Board before I set something. It's because
of the silent majorities that you speak of that makes it look like the whole world is run by you me and Hoopty.
