Tell ya what then your welcome to come and shoot suckers in the creek with me and i will put a 100 dollar bill you will either break or bend a shure shot before I do a piranaha. I shot shure shots for several years and they have there places they work good but rocks is not one of them. I have several that i have broke but never sent them back so your welcome to have them also if you want.

Btw you will bend the part the barbs ride against (ferrel) within 2 hours or less.
I guess we will just have to agree to disagree than... been working for me just fine on the rocks for some time now... were the old - new - and long barb Piranaha just can't hold up... its a same too because I would love to support Cajun since they do a lot for the UT and ID bowfisherman... but I do dig there y/j arrows..

I will take you up on that. My Grapples against yours. I know my Grapples will hold. I can shoot the same grapple non stop in the rocks with a 70# bow all day. And only dull the tip. Do it all the time on the Columbia river.
You better keep your money because he will wind up with it.You wont get a Grapple in very many suckers around here lol. They lay right against the bottom and half the time they will be laying on ledge rock.Long barb Piranhas will bounce out of them a whole bunch even. The best tip to use here on them are Muzzys and short barb Piranhas.Ineerlocs just don't cut it here. The Pro Point will snap in half 3x faster. The grapple is way to slow and that will cost you a lot of fish and you'll go broke buying their junk ass soft tips.

I have to agree IMO in rocks I have had the best luck with the Muzzy

What's funny is Sticknmo use to be a hardcore Sure Shot man since way back when.He// I liked them too until they built a better mouse trap."I aint shooting your chit" he would say.Now look at him.:D
Ittook a lot for me to make that statement.I honestly had a Muzzy broadhead BOUNCE or deflect rather off of a bear one time at 23 yrds....on the ground, got kind of hairy!!!I swore I hated Muzzy heads after that but there fishing points are great in da rocks....I will use what ever works, but I do not like them Grapplers

As much as I hate to admit it your right but back then I just wanted to shoot fish most the time I didn't even care if they made it in the boat , you know the catch and release type stuff but now people want to see pictures and stuff so I try to landem.lol
And mr bodycarver I will double the odds for your grapple point but i will not arm wrestle you for it anybody that shoots 80lbs for fish must be a tough son of a gun and I'm not in the he man women bow hater club. So its just a bet on which tip last longer.

thats funny... I have 7 Paranaha tips that are broke from just last year and my sure shots still are holding up after 2 years of shooting... I have broke one sure shot and got a free replacement from them since that is there garantee (they stand behind there products)... contacted Cajun about buying some new barbs and was told it can't be done... 90% what we shoot is in the Snake River with a hardpan bottom with lava rocks... guess diffrent stroke for diffrent folks...
Do you know if these Piranha tips were the old or new barb material? If you bought them new the "new" barbs would have been black in color and are made of harder material.........just curious

Rob 2 of the 7 were the new blk barbs... we pretty much turned them into practice arrows now... I wish the barbs could be replaced since I do have a handful of YJ with the old tips I picked up form sportsmans last year and than found out Sportsmans wasn't paying there bills so they had to work with old inventory and I didn't look them over better at the store...errr... oh well they are great tips for deep water shooting...

I remember a thread from the old site about buying material and replacing barbs.........but I can't remember who posted it or what material and where to get it. Maybe someone else will know, but it can be done.

Yeah I think I may have seen that patented line jerk a time or two.

I'd go with the muzzy, and would add the big fish adapter! by far the best. pulled a 45 pound buff out of 12 foot of water and hydrilla last year with one. Check'em out at backwateroutdoors.com Once you shoot em there is no going back.
Thats what i use is muzzys and i love em they have yet to break on me and i hit rocks plenty of times
