sorry i never checked back on this thread. I did exactly what awaldro7 did but i painted my reflectors white. I used RJ cord to run the power and used these to run the wire inside the box. I got them from grainger but home depot has some that are cheaper and work just as well, had i known befer.

From what I could tell, there seems to be a 1/2" npt fitting on the back of the housing for mounting on a post. I am building a light rail out of emt conduit and used rigid couplings for this same type mount. I will post pics soon.

Here are mine. We just finished them yesterday. I really like them a lot.

Here what I did whit them on my other rig I had .I made a U tipe brack but flat ont the bottom out of 1/4 x3'' aluminum.These fixture are tuff pic show that .Was chaseing big fish with kicker motor, boat did't fit the creek it whent up tree limb got lights.

the housings are cast. it would behoove to have some secondary mounting. that mount on the bottom will break off before you even get to the boat ramp.

I got my two in the mail today. They do have the threaded fitting, but I will probably make some more rigid brackets for them. Also, my 400 MH bulbs (full size) would NOT fit in them due to the larger diameter. The length was fine, but they were too big around.

Looks like they are all out. My order has been cancelled 3 times now. Tried 2, then 1 from Wal-Mart (sourced from same supplier) then 1 (all that was left in stock) and it was cancelled as well. Where is the next great deal? I have my ballast on the way for my custom 400 watt HPS but nothing to mount it in. Searching the forums now.

you you might have to use the reduced envelope bulbs. ED28 i think they are

"Deals" are the only way I can keep the addiction alive. I have to scratch it out every step of the way. Huntin and fishin money usually comes by, mowin lawns, doin yard work and sellin my body at retirement homes...?...ok... I lost money there but hey, I'm still fishin!!
You'll have to post up those customs when they come :tu:
