Really just want a new bow, a new toy to play with. Im looking at Oneidas, not Ospreys but other Oneidas and just dont know what to buy. I realize that Ospreys are the best but i dont wanna pay for the best kinda just wanna get my feet wet with Oneida before diving into an Osprey.

Spoken like a true future KOOL-AID DRINKER:)

Just don't buy one of them heavy ass old Oneidas, I have seen in person one that has won 6 world championships ...but I won't buy one. Tallon/osprey /super black eagle is what I would buy if ur wanting to sip on some sizzurp, ninja. But any bow will kill fish.

Ahh sweet. So buying anything but those Oneidas is a waste? Expensive Kool-aid for sure. This may be a really stupid Question but im going to ask: Can i buy an Oneida Screaming Eagle, put different limbs on it to lower poundage/weight and would it work and not be a hazard to shoot?

If you listen or believe anything on this thread or anything I ever say...listen to me now...don't buy a screaming eagle, or any old oneida...and there is nothing wrong with your cuda. The old Oneida bows r heavy...and a osprey set to the exact draw weight and length as a cuda will not shoot as fast/hard as a cuda. And that's a fact. With that being said, I have a talon a osprey and a cuda... :)

I'll second that. I have a screaming eagle but you get into fish where you're shooting as fast as you can and that left arm feels like it's going to fall off quick. That or I'm a sissy. It is real smooth though. Not sure I like the large brace height on it though.

Roger that Sheriff Brady....is that from Young Guns? You're way more knowledgable than me and thank you very much for steering me straight.

If you were going to buy an older oneida, talk to joneida,he can answer most the advantages and disses of the older bows,If the weight don't bother, any of them can be set up to your liking,if your shooting a cam bow, now the lower let offs will feel better and way smoother as far as draw cycle! But in my opinion,I would try to find a Osprey/Talon or Black Eagle you be ruint!I'd keep what you got and just look for a O/T or BE that you can afford,Oneida's are very good quality and for the years of service they provide are well worth the extra upfront cost!I have two Opsreys right now and wouldn't sell either for the price of new ones,I'll be buying another one or BE if the price right,I love that oneida draw cycle, but shoot one and judge for yourself their not for everyone!
