Don't really want to go to watts bar I have wore out all my spots I konw fish are, we have friends from east tn coming in next weekend to shoot with us and more than likely be taking them to the bar. Center Hill I don't really know alot about or where to maybe find some fish?? Thought about Cordell Hull around Granville off the baxter exit but someone said the current might be going, I don't want to shoot in current nor want to shoot in wake boat infested waters considering the holiday weekend???

Anyone know anything about Cordell Hull or Center Hill??

I know Center Hill will be crawling with ppl playing in the water.

We are going to Granville this afternoon, I will let you know how we did and what the water conditions are when we get back tonight.

We have never had a current issue in the past (though it can get pretty muddy after a flood), there is almost zero pleasure boating around Granville (too many rocks/stumps) so wakes are a non-issue.

If you want to give me a call, I can give you some info about the area that might help. My work number is 931-528-7530 Ask for Jason (call anything between 7:00 and 3:30 central time).

One more thing, I have never bowfished on Center Hill but a few on here have, to find out more about the fishing quality on Center Hill, you might PM Bysonrye (JJ) on here. He hits that lake from time to time.

Center Hill will not be a good place to be this weekend. Pleasure boats will be everywhere. Not good numbers on Center Hill either. We went last Saturday during the day and shot 6 carp that were layed up sunning. If you did decide to come to Center Hill you would be better off on the upper end of the lake. There will be less pleasure boaters on that end. Center Hill is not a real good lake unless you catch them during the spawn. Send me a pm if you need anymore information.

My thoughts on that lake exactly, Traffic, No Numbers, TOO DEEP, Dad and ncle fished a tourney a few weeks ago said it was absolutely LOADED with Gar, which might be the case but I need a good bunch of carpies as a backup to shoot I wouldnt go down there unless I could aboslutley load the boat full of GAR :D

You think they will be alot on Cordell? Didnt think it was big enough for water activites, maybe but I always thought there was a lot of trash and low spots in the lake?
You might run into a bass fisherman or two, but you probably won't see over 3-4 boats max (especially is you go up any of the creeks).

Granville is a tiny town (little historic site), they have car shows and celebrations most of the Summer. It won't cause you a problem on the water though. It is a pretty darn good day time bowfishing lake too.

We are just walking the banks today, but usually get quite a few fish doing that. If you take your boat out, you'll kill plenty , day or night, if the the water clarity is anywhere decent).

There are a chit ton of gar in the lake. When the water is up in the sloughs you could get on em good, as long as its hot enough to get em rolling.

Absolutly am taking the boat thinking bout Martins Creek and Indians Creek it looks good on the map and far enough off of the main channel in case they are generating

Yep, I don't think you will be dissapointed. The size of the fish tend to be considerably smaller that Watts Barr, but I bet you see twice as many :tu:

Hollar sometime, we can meet up and I'll show you a nice spot or too. You are up around Crossville aren't you? I work at Cookeville.
