Kajun how do ya think my toon that drafts 10 or more inches with a troller would fair down there? I've always wanted to shoot down there but didn't know if my rig would be able to get around down there.
You would be limited to the bigger ponds, edges of bayous and lakes, but unless we get a big cool front that pushes a lot of water out, you should be fine. Some of my favorite spots are about 2' deep on normal tides.

and you guys wonder why I'm excited to get down there
If I lived up there, they'd have to put me on suicide watch from the end of Hunting season till spring!

Haha it ain't that bad our hunting season runs from September till near the end of February. Plus ice fishing is a lot more fun then it sounds. Always something to do but March is the worst, winter things are winding down and none of the spring things have started up. Did get out and shoot a few fish last week and calling for 65 degrees Thursday im gonna give it hell looking for some fish to shoot

I'm sure there will be an open spot on a boat or 2 sometime during the week. Hell, 1 boat is coming from Gonzalas.

Ice fishing? I do that a couple times a week. Every time I pull a bag of fillets out of the freezer!

Haha, na it's a good time With the proper gear. I was out in so -20 windchill days and never got cold. Actually my new suit is to warn, I gotta unzip everything when I go to move and drag the shanty around.

A troller is deff doable in most places in May, shouldn't have any problems getting limits with a troller. Grass wont start becoming a problem until Late July, August.
Cool, I'd talked to you before about coming down Kajun. Just gotta round up a group and do it. It's cool country down there for sure!
