Ed, what about kids under 16 are they not going to count as part of the team number's as the last two years??

meaning 4 adults plus one(under 16)??

Kids are always welcome additions to the teams and dont count toward the team numbers,so yes, 4 members +kids under 16 are fine, but be sure your boat has the capacity to carry the additional passengers.

Does anyone know where I could get some maps of the river and areas around it. Being 4 hours from us, we are not really abole to scout, our scouting will be the morning of. I would like to find some fairly detailed maps of the area so we know kind of what to expect.

Dont know if this will work here, but Ill post a google search for Utica Illinois. Switch it to Sat. map and you can move up and down the river seeing all the creeks, backwaters ect.....to the right or upstream you will find the town of ottawa, go down stream and find Henry, Peru and the other ramps. If it dont work just google Utica Illinois and click the map.

Almost forgot!!!! The BAI usually does a AMS Youth Bowfishing Championship each year, and this year we will have a big 3 competition for all kids shooting with an adult as the youth event at the Innerloc shoot. Each kid will be entered in a drawing for a complete AMS Fishhawk bow!! We will also have awards for those who place in the contest and a participation certificate for all.

They have places for tents or RVs at $25 per night, up to 4 people. I put several on hold for those coming to the shoot, so if you want a space send me a pm with your names.

The youth event will be a big 3. The kids must only turn in fish they shoot off the boat they are on, so really, all are on the honor system. The bow will be drawn for at the end of the shoot. Each kid that enters the contest, 16yrs or younger, will have their name thrown in a hat for a shot at the bow/reel combo.
