Started my ballast box build last night....fairly entertaining. Stuffing 8 ballasts into a box that is 32x12x12. Any bets on whether it will all fit or not?
Those 400's don't take a 55?they are 36+12's obg
The housings that I gutted for parts were brand new GE housings. These ballasts will run a 400w hps at 4.1 amps and a 400w mh at 4.5 amps. That's tested with my amp clamp one each fired up in my house. Those 400's don't take a 55?
Does the ballast tag call for a 50 or 55 cap?The housings that I gutted for parts were brand new GE housings. These ballasts will run a 400w hps at 4.1 amps and a 400w mh at 4.5 amps. That's tested with my amp clamp one each up in my house.
not sure...I just went out into the garage and I must have thrown them all away. I'll find out soon though.Does the ballast tag call for a 50 or 55 cap?
Those caps didn't come with the lights did they?not sure...I just went out into the garage and I must have thrown them all away. I'll find out soon though.
Yeah these were the caps that were in the lights. They were unopened factory GE Housings. Those caps didn't come with the lights did they?
Wild! That's the first time I've seen a light come from the factory with a cap jumped---nothing wrong with that just the first time I've seen a factory take that route.Yeah these were the caps that were in the lights. They were unopened factory GE Housings.
It had a jumper with a plug on it that allowed you to plug it in two different ways. One way (which just broke the jumper circuit) was for 250w bulbs, the other was for the 400's. I won't be running any 250's but if I ever did all I would have to do is pull the jumper. I had to make my own for looks....I'm picky when it comes to my wiring.Wild!
