Ok... So i finally started drink'n the koolaid.. And went over to a buddies house to shoot through a chronograph.. Well I have my osprey which is fairly new considering it's in swamp assassin.. And marked 35-55 pounds and a short.. So we put it on the scale and maxed out it's only at 45 pounds!! What the F**k?? The whole reason I bought this thing was for more penetration.. The fastest it ever shot was 125fps but averaged between 115-120 fairly consistently.. What kind of bullchit is this?? You buy a bow and it's 10 pounds less than it reads on the sticker when maxed out!! That's not cool.. Am I missing something here?? And speed wise it's about the same as the mission craze or menace.. Where's this hard hitting power everybody talks about?? Speed is speed and I don't care if it's a skippy bow.. If it shoots the same speed as an oneida then you're goin to get the same penetration!! For $500 plus dollars why is this son of a ***** not shooting 55 pounds?? I do have some 50-70 pound power limbs.. Is it safe to put these on a cast riser osprey and shoot 60#'s?? Is this the only way I'm going to get the performance I'm looking for?? Sure it's smooth and looks cool but who cares if it won't perform!!!

Loved this thread! Cant disagree with that KB feller, if it said 55 I'd want 55 myself. But to get to the nonsense gills is spouting (I havent had him give me any hell before....I feel left out!) I just checked my osprey. Pulling 27-28 lbs, when it broke over I was holding about 6-7 near as I can figure. I keep shooting thru silvers and bigheads, stuck a bunch of rays 5 foot deep no problems....draw it back about 3 inches on those dink gar. (Wish I could say I could hit em like gills does.) I was never a fan of letoff either back in my bowhunting days. 39 yrs of working with those 12 inch block has given me a need for all the light weight chit I can find. Aint as much fun when it hurts!
I missed a chance to fish with KB this past wkend. Feelin left out there too. We need to have a "Take the old guy fishin" program set up. I could watch yall with the numbers, you could point out a bigun for me now and then.
