First off i'm not looking to start ANYTHING. I haven't been on here a whole lot lately and I cannot find much about the angler bow. Was a pretty hot topic last year and now they seem to have disappeared. Is there issues with them?

Send me a pm I will get blazed by mike I'f I say any thing

My teammate shoots one and I absolutely hate it. Im a diehard area5150 Hater but I always gave honest reviews on it. I hate the company and who run it not just the product. With that being said heres what I found wrong with the Angler...

BAD:
The brace height is way to short
The grips are way to short
The bottom cam will rub the palm of your hand when you pull it back unless you have baby hands
It doesnt shoot anywhere NEAR as smooth as a osprey
It has to have way to much custom work done just to have it fit the way you want it, for example someone had to weld a extra inch on the limb JUST to get required draw length
From the tests I have seen its slower then the osprey

Good things:
It could win a beauty contest
its a hair bit lighter then the osprey

What kinds of lever bows are there?

I was thinking Oneida was about the only one since they are the only one you ever hear about.
Onieda,Jonieda has a new bow comign out,Area 5150, I believe there is a couple others coming out to but they arent really known.. Im sure someone on here will know a little more about that , i dont follow bow builders lol

I had one and these are the same problems I found with the bow ... and the fast flite timing cables dont hold up very long as well.

Brace height is normally a good inch longer than what it was on my bow
and the welding had to do with me having a 32+ inch draw so that's a non issue.
Grip is too short but i think they have started fixing that
if you don't like the FF timing cable order with a steel one (that's what i did)
and on the smoothness thing, they just have different draw curves and characteristics so not real sure how to measure this.
speed- mine was shooting right below what an osprey does i believe but mine's also been messed with ALOT so not real sure how a normally set up bow would do
The cam is a bit close, doesn't rub my hands but it is pretty close so that could be an issue with someone
One Con that you guys didn't list is that everything on it is stainless( or was until people had problems with timing bolt and limb bolts, now they are going out with hardened steel there though)

I was kinda wondering the same thing i guess, there was a ton of hype on them last year and after they came out i didn't really hear alot about them... kinda sounds like they were better before they came out tho i guess.

Thanks for saying that Bob,about the stainless....I was keeping my mouth shut on the other thread and was going to talk to Joe about it....I dont care what everybody else wants.I do not want Stainless bolts on my bow,and it will be an issue if they go full production with them(at least the limb bolts)

and it takes half a year to get them!!! unicorns are pretty though

What's the problem with the stainless bolts?
All of my experience with Alum. limb bolts on the limbs is they are too brittle and when you crank them down they tend to strip, same thing on the timing screw. But sounds like Joe has in taken care of
