I like a bow with some balls behind it. I do alot of fishing from shore and need the weight. Used a 50 lbs recurve last year, stepped up to a 40lb compound and an amazing difference in entry into the water. Compound Bow in for some loving so I tried my last year recurve bow and one shot and went home and switched everything to my PSE Mojo 3D bow. Set it down to 50lbs. My competition bow but gotta keep fishing. LOL Shooting of a nose of the boat you don't need near the weight as you do from shore. Different bows for different situations. My opinion only.

Shooting bigheads and silvers we take alot of long shots from the nose of the boat as well... and most of us shoot higher poundages when we set up to go shoot bigheads and silvers around here. :) I totally agree with Different bows for different situations... thats why he needs one with more arse, Our situation calls for it :tu:

i dont really want to have a different bow for different situations. if that was the case i would probally go with the discovery. i want to have the same bow setup for everything from bank shooting to deep water bigheads. thats why i like the cuda. just dont pull it back as far on a small fish as i would on a big fish. id rather change my tips out when bank shooting than a totally different bow. from what i have seen i believe the wave is what i am going with. and who knows, it may sit in the back of the boat while i use the taped up cuda. just have to wait and see how i like it.

You could always look into the "USA Archery" version Discovery available with 40lb limbs. Just a black cuda basically. Wave seems like a nice bow too. Saw one In the bargain cave at Cabelas the other day brand new for $190. It was really hard to keep myself from buying it!
Do you have a source to order an USA Archery Discovery? I just tried 2 sites and wasted my time at checkout. "Out of Stock".

BOOOM! somebody knows something!!!.....this is the baddest bowfishing bow per dollar i have ever shot. its got let off though so you need to the change the modules.......and it will sling an arrow into the backrest....all but 6 inches to the nock sticking out.

to be honest, yes the tape IS holding the limbs together. the top limb splintered over a year ago and havent had time or a weekend or too offof fishing to send it off to be repaired. and who needs string wax. i like to think its like having string scilencers for shooting bigheads lol. still kills the chit out of fish just as good as skippys oneidas, maybe a little better. he secretly wants to buy it but wont come out of the closet just yet!

yeah.it still shoots good and its just a little splinter on the very edge of the top limb. getting sent off real soon to be fixed and then probally sold to invest in another wave. those are some good shooting bows with a very smooth draw.
