June is gonna be a tough month to get Husker land teams down to toto land. 1st weekend is our upper MO river shoot, wich is one of the funnest of the year. The third weekend is probably going to be the Harlan shoot, this shoot also draws alot of teams, even a couple from KS. I will be interested to see how this is giong to work as it would be fun for sure. Just not sure if the wallett will be full enough to shoot a tourney trail in another state. But the border war need to happen for sure. If the fishing sucks we can allways set around drinkin beer and swearin!
 
Your crackin me up Sorny.:laugh: What about if we move the Border War Tourney back to July or August? Would that be better? I just know alot of us teams head to Texas in July & August. Let me know and keep the ideas coming. I like Hacksaw's idea opn points. I think thats the fairest way to do it.
 
If for some reason you guys don't see me on here for a few days its because my computer is going to crap. Im supposed to take it in next tuesday but i dont know if its gonna make it that long.

ok i like more August b.c me and Nick travel all over to tournaments and august nebraska bowfishers has a tournament but were changing it next year. i will never shoot fish in calamus resivour ever again specially at night i drank beer noon friday to sunday noon never stopped. it was funny at weigh ins at 7 am we was still drinking thats how bad that tournament was and we got several funny looks from people in the morning getting gas and coffee to see Budweiser in our hand bahahaha... so we are gonna find a new place for the August shoot for the season final for nebraska... so that would work for me and nick and im sure several others

And sorny I've only been shooting tournament for three years... All I know is you haven't been to that classic since I've been shooting... I'm ready for the border war!!!

Sorny are you just trying to hold off on a azz whoopin lol . The only bad thing about an august shoot at milford is that lake will be covered up with the blue green algea it is so bad that you cant even see thru it and i hate for the Ne guys to have an excuse lol.
 
Just have to keep the same team name you pay the $150 for unless you wanna pay us more than once for 2 teams which is fine with me.:laugh: Also Derrick you don't have to shoot all 7 it would just benifit you if you did. We are only gonna count your 4 BEST shoots for points. If you wanna pay the $150 and just shoot 4 shoots thats totally fine. I know i won't make all 7 just because of my work but im gonna try like heck to at least make 5 or 6 if i can. I pretty much have the scheuldal done just workin out a few details so if you guys wanna add something let me know. The first 6 tournaments will be just for cash off the entry fee's. We are gonna save all the prizes for the last one at Melvern and try to make it a big one next year. Also the Kansas Classic has been moved to a night shoot in March at LaCynge when the big fish should be up. TELL ME WHAT YOU GUYS WANT!! THIS IS FOR YOU!! I really want this wrapped up and done by mid October so everyone has plenty of time over the winter to get some money saved and there boats fixed.
 
My only concern with using the highest top 4 wins per team would be the fact that if I can only make it to four tournaments all season and another team makes all 7, that gives them the advantage to choose which ones they want to count toward points. My sugestion is that each team has to tell the person that is holding that specific tourny for that month, at sign in, if that tourny will count for that team's points or not. also, who will be that one person keeping track of of the points?
 
We are going to take your top 4 scores from all the tourneys your in and use those for the points at the last shoot. Also each team will only be allowed to use a maximum of 3 wins total per year towards points so we don't have a run away points champion. We have also decided to add a special 15 point fish per shoot so everyone has a chance to keep there points up and the winning team of each tourney will not be allowed those extra points if they have that fish. It will go to the next team in line. We are trying to make it as fair as we can for every one and give everyone an honest chance. ALSO, the last tourney WAS set as winner take all but everyone wanted to change it. The only reason we changed it was because everyone wanted to. Hacksaw,Doug and I will be keeping records of each tournament unless you want to volunteer?
