The Luger thread was about the status of a 45 Luger service pistol. There were around 4 produced and they are a hefty price tag on them. The most common one is in 9 mil and can be fairly accurate. I personally don't like them for they are not comfortable in the hand. As far as this gun goes they are a battle rifle and not made for great accuracy and made to hit man sized targets at close to mid ranges. The fal platform can be a good gun if set up correctly and gone over by a good gun smith. If I were you I would try to get a 6.5 Grendel witch Is a 264 win bullet in a 6.5 mm case that will run the paces with a 308 and out preform out to 500 yards and has better ballistics than a 30-06 and is extremely accurate out to 1000 yards witch is .564 of a mile FYI any more questions
