The time change is that night...so it should be daylight...

The lake is now 10.4ft low...only 2.4ft lower than last yr...

320-321 is the most dangerous level for Clarks Hill. That's the hieght of most of the tree tops. Hopefully the Corps will hold the level at 319, where the tree tops will still be visiable, the jump it up to 322 where they will be a foot or so underwater.

any problems with changing the Blast off time to 6:30pm saturday (possbily a little eariler if we get everyone registered and the meeting over earlier which is very likely) and having the weighin at 7:30am Sunday (would still be just 12 hours with the time change)

Probably a good idea...:tu:

My .02. This club has never done anything in a timely manner. Planning blast off at 630 and expecting to run before dark is wishful thinking, especially with blasting off in flights and giving away door prizes. If you also factor in how long weigh in takes, this 12 hour tournament is more like 15 or 16 hours( not including drive time) which is another reason why winter is not the best time for a 12 hour shoot.

Dan and i are thinking about changing the schedule due to the fact of the time change and weather conditions...

here is the new proposed schedule...if you have any issues with this schedule speak up...

march 9-hartwell

april 6-murray

april 20-clarkhill classic

june 1-gwood

july 27-clarkhill

Not that it matters but I Was coming to march 9 classic
Every boat matters...we want this shoot to grow...I think that if you would come April 20 you will be a lot more impressed with the weights and numbers...

U can't make it work for every team involved and I understand that. I will have to see what happens in april

I'd hate for you to drive all the way to the lake, pay all that money, and only shoot 10-15 fish in 12hrs

Some people were saying that Clark's Hill can be great in Feb and March. The key word there is CAN, but all the variables have to line up. Any lake would be wonderful if we had no rain for a week and 4 days of 75 degree temps. But if you look at the last 3 March shoots this club had, they were terrible. The first year it stayed around 19 degrees all night. There weren't 10 fish brought to the scales total. The last 2 years it was white capping and freezing as well. I feel there is a 100% chance of the shoot being better in late April.

I think the date change is a good idea and will help the fish on Clark Hill since the rain and cold is going to be here for a couple more weeks. Having it in April will make weights and numbers a lot better and make it a much more interesting shoot.
