Man those things are the ticket. I took a fishhook rest and got my bows shooting bullet holes. then put the epoxy in front of the rest pressed the arrow down and had them shooting perfect in fifteen minutes!

The dark side has consumed me I went from high poundage bows with a retriever and slides to little girl bows spinners epoxy rests and occasionally tying to the back I even have an Oneida on the way....

Can't make myself deface a bow with a tube of epoxy... even an old bear whitetail I am building. Must work cause several do it but just makes me cringe. I have trouble even sticking felt my hunting bows to silence them just because to me they are a thing of beauty. I know they are just bows/tools but I like my stuff clean and sexy. Guess I will just not join the club and be an outcast

Or put on a sexy machined aluminum QD thats tuneable :tu: may i ask what in specific you like about the epoxy rests? I built and shot one on a fishhawk a while back and couldnt bring myself to like it, just didnt see any benefit with it over a fish hook or other bolt on rest that offer more containment. Just wondering what your reasoning behind it is, maybe im missing something

For me it's about it being simple and cheap. A fish hook is about 15 dollars plus 10 dollars shipping a tube of epoxy was 4 bucks. Any rest can be beat around in the boat and get out of tune but with the epoxy rest once you get it how you like it and it's there. Also the way i built mine i can shoot at almost any angle and The arrow isnt coming out of the rest. That's my 2 cents but your mileage may vary

It all boils down to me being clumsy cheap and the epoxy on the bow matches the epoxy holding my boat together

I a thing of beauty in my eyes is a bow that aint afraid to get down with the fish slim. Its kinda like either having a good looing little hot blonde that is a whinning little yuppy chick or having a decent brunette that aint afraid to get down and dirty. I think a "thing of beauty" such as an Oneida Black Eagle or Osprey deserves a "rest of beauty" such as a Quick Draw... i dont want my purty bow having a hunk of hardened play-doh stuck on it
