Lake Wawasee Slugfest
When: Saturday, May 4th, 2013
Where: Lake Wawasee, Syracuse, IN
Registration begins at 6:30pm and ends at 7:30pm at the main public access boat launch, located at the southeast end of the lake at the intersection of Hatchery Rd. and CR 1000N. A $100.00 cash entry fee per team will be collected during registration. A maximum of 3 persons per team allowed. Tournament will begin after 7:30pm pre-fish meeting. Check in will be at 5:00am, and all teams will be required to be back at the launch at this time. Any team that fails to be back at 5:00am will be disqualified and will forfeit their entry fee. Teams may fish Lake Wawasee and Syracuse Lake. However, all boats must be put in at the main public access boat launch.
Payouts will be based on most legal fish shot and will be as follows:
Less than 10 teams:
Top 3 teams
10 – 14 teams:
Top 5 teams
*If in the event of a tie, team with biggest fish, based on weight, will take the appropriate winnings.
*There will also be an optional $15.00 per team big/small fish pot, separated into three $5.00 categories. The categories will be as follows:
Biggest Common Carp (by weight), Biggest Dogfish/Bowfin (by weight), & Biggest Gar (by weight)
*Fish disposal will be provided
This year’s Lake Wawasee Slugfest will require pre-registration! We are limiting this year’s shoot to 14 teams. Because of this, you must notify me by email prior to the shoot that you will be attending. Email must have the team name, name of each team member, and each team member’s phone number. The first 14 teams to contact me will be guaranteed a spot! Thank you for your understanding. I look forward to hearing from everyone!
