Mallardsx2 I love that shad pic, and that guy with his first fish...looks like the fish almost won! Those are the kind of pics I love to see. I saw an eel last night and I wish to heck I would have got picture of that swimming under the lights.
RUM, if you prefer a crowded parking lot, I guess we are very different then. I've never had the urge to "shoot against" someone when it comes to live animals. Competition is for targets and clays. I go out to enjoy the day, the quiet, and have a good time.
A couple weeks ago I went to a usual spot (place has been mentioned here on new BFC) and there were four rigs there, one of them with Jersey plates, and another guy came in after...he mentioned how there were very few big fish left. Well now, that really should not be a surprise when people are driving at least 2 hours because they read about it on the internet the last couple years...
Internet scouting for ducks started years back and now it seems history is repeating for carp...when the great thing about bowfishing is you can most likely do it in your own backyard. I don't care one way or another about the fish bucket/tailgate shots, just the cyberscouting aspect when people mention where they went on a public forum/facebook. For every member reading there are a whole bunch of lurkers.
