I have a radio in my boat. Its in a box the is dry rotted. And i was wanting to put it in there another way with out cutting my steering console. For those if you that have one in your bout can u post a pic of how yours is in there. Let me know. Help would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you have a shelf under your console ? Make a heavy aluminum bent L piece out of sheet metal and cut radio into that and mount under the console so don't have to cut out the console. I mounted my radio into my console, but did the I-pod dock that way mounted under the console. Or could you rebuild the dry rotted box out of aluminum?

I had thoughts about getting a 2x4 and mounting it under my console and mounting a on top of dash radio box under the console. Just flip the mounting bracket

I built metal boxes for my deck and speakers and bolted them on so if anyone wants to try to grab it they would have to take the back bench seat with them

I mounted mine facing forward on my center console. That way when I am up front shooting fish I can change the song/volume etc with the remote control I keep in my pocket. It sits inside one of the waterproof containers with a flip up front plate. Sorry no pic
