by the way thats a good looking boat ....what did you not like about it just the lack of push??

it pushed plenty. 1770 slickbottom with poly all light weight hull 44hp generac 2:1 reduction 62" 4 blade powerfin F. but in a fanboat ur really not gaining much by all the power and thrust. you will never be able to get on top of your wake to plane out... and if its not the perfect mud ur not gonna push it either

Build it. I would use 5-6 gallons of gas in a 10 hour tournament. One suggestion......electric steering...electric steering...and one more time ELECTRIC STEERING!!!!!!! Big fans with big hp get whipping in the wind and your arms gonna hurt. I used a linear actuator for 3 years with ZERO failures. Forget all the chains,pulleys, and sprockets and use the rack and pinion concept.

beaver did u dig up the bearing connection pics yet? also ive seen pics of your actuator but can u give me the specs on it...make, model, poundage, and where to buy??

this is the four bolt flange bearing he mentioned, this is just a basic one from ebay like 15$, i know you can get more expensive bearings that handle vibration and weight better

it is 4.5"x4.5"
