Hey guys here is a thread for y'all . What will make the TBA BETTER. And hash it out here and only here
Good luck! There is probably a by law that says you can't get that infoHey guy's someone give me an email about my membership and sponsorship. I would also like to help in the organization of this great states TBA. We need some fresh ideas for the future of Bowfishing here in Texas. Thanks

I was always told the TBA wasn't about tournaments, it was everything bowfishing, the tba should be about the state shoot and only the state shoot...there needs to be guys who will actually work with TPWD to help with studies and hard facts...I know guys who don't report tagged gador gar ever! I know guys who kill every gador gar they catch on lines because they are fishing for catfish.. there needs to be studies on the Sabine Trinity Brazos Angelina Red Neches and the Rio...each river is a completely different river/ ecosystem and needs different rules and regulations just like bucks in different counties.I agree, I think the TBA should be more about our rights and defending them and education etc that tournaments. Anyone can throw a tourney and the TBA can sanction it if they want. There are too many little bs tourneys anyway. Is like to see the TBA maybe just throw the State shoot. Plan it EARLY and then let the region's throw their own to prepare for the end of the yr badazz state shoot thrown by the TBA. Just a thought but the tourneys get monotonous locally.....
How is it lies? I said the current TBA leadership sucks, show me some statistical data that it doesn't.... You said yourself you received a document of the membership 4-5 months ago. Have you reviewed it? Contacted members in your area that their memberships are expiring? What have you done in the TBA other than text people about a single meeting and promote a tournament? No it's not pressing buttons it's flat out lies, if you tried contacted me I would respond to you. Like I said I've personally never had a problem with you. Yeah there is something wrong with only one person getting nominated but that's how it happened. The system needs a upgrade we get it.now that you have all been vocal about it lets move past the "TBA sucks" and start getting it into shape. Tim you say you don't like our formats, we had a just big 20 we had big twenty/numbers split and vice versa tried lots of different things to get new ppl and it worked well. Garret that tournament was 2 years ago and I didn't host or schedule it. As far as the TBA focusing on tournaments that's not really the case, but nobody else will host a tournament in my area so I do, as far as convenience of water bodies we have them on our local lakes, lewisville, ray Roberts, texoma, Whitney ect ect...not sure how that's more convenient for some more then other when they are all in our region. As far as membership management software I would have to say no, the list was emailed to me roughly 4-5 months ago in a E docket, nothing fancy. Like I said I'm new to this position but I'm all ears about making it better and with constructive criticism we can all accomplish that but if its non stop *****ing y'all can go shove rocks for all I care.
As far as you trying to contact me, you never have about TBA or had you shown any interest in it until Dustin became a director. It's not my job to update the membership list, I send in new member info and it's updated by somebody else. As far as fish dumping in our area it's not near as bad as you make it out to be I've stressed it to new guys that come out to tournaments. Every tournament I host I contact the local game warden and let them know ahead of time where we will be and abou lights and generator noise yada yada an everytime they are positive say be safe and have fun. Every lake we fish on is completely legal. So are you done being negative? Do you want to help the TBA?How is it lies? How about this one, did you know that a group of our local lakes that we fish on regularly Bowfishing is actually banned according to water body rules? They let it slide for now, but with all of the recent fish dumping out there this may change. These are the things the TBA needs to be focused on, tournaments are great fun and all, but if we lose the right to Bowfish, there will be no sport of Bowfishing at all so let's focus on the important things...
So no tournaments have been held on any tarrant regional water district lakes? Because I know several of us have fishe out there for years, even if it's not technically legalAs far as you trying to contact me, you never have about TBA or had you shown any interest in it until Dustin became a director. you're right Texas Parks and wildlife does not enforce the rules Tarrant County does... no discharge weapons inside city limits or something like thatSo no tournaments have been held on any tarrant regional water district lakes? It's not tarrant county even because Bridgeport falls outside of tarrant, but tarrant regional water district still controls the lakes and creates there own regulations. In those regulations no discharge of firearms is included in that. And I know some asshat will probably say I've fished out there for years and never been stopped. You're right, I have too, but that doesn't change the facts that the tarrant regional water district has outlawed Bowfishing, not directly, but with the no firearms clause. Furthermore for anyone who chooses to not believe me can go to the tarrant regional water district page and read article VII section Ayou're right Texas Parks and wildlife does not enforce the rules Tarrant County does... no discharge weapons inside city limits or something like that
I must have been thinking about a private business or partnership.we just changed over everything from a corporation to different llc's a few years ago... this was several ranches, dozens of vehicles and a few sky scrapers in down town Dallas...if you go after one you can't tap into the other ones with different llc names instead of the " blah blah blah" corporation.
Maglight, that's exactly how it's all set up. In the amendments, where we set up the state shoot, it is supposed to be done by Mid-Oct I think, that way the Texas date is out there before anyone else's. The TBA sanctions tournaments for the promotion of the sport, but only "hosts" one tournament, the Championship. Anyone can host a tournament, sanctioned or otherwise, TBA has no control over that.I agree, I think the TBA should be more about our rights and defending them and education etc that tournaments.
