The Backyard Bowyer on Youtube is the guy I learned from. They are a flattened 1" PVC sch 40. That is the blue one, the pink is a 3/4" PVC. I like the one inch better because it has more A** . I've went to a 50" pipe after its finished with string they are about 45" and pull from 45-55 lbs. The attachment is a 1/2" square metal tubing with a 5/16 X 24 taped hole to mount the reel seats. I just use heavy duty zip ties to hold it on. Of course you'll have to drill the holes for the ties to go through. Anything else just send me a message. Thanks

They do look good. I want to take a fish with a PVC bow and a primitive bow/arrow set up this year.

I have taken fish with long bow, modern reflex/deflect long bow, recurve, lever bow, and compound.

I think PVC will be next.

i chrono'ed a 58" recurve 1inch schedule 40 PVC i made with a buddy fiberglass arrow and a muzzy gar point and it shot 142 FPS at 29 inch draw at 53 lbs. I figured that would be fast enough for a $6.50 rig. Im going to keep 2 for back ups on my boat just in case

Wow. My 58" sch 40 62lb bow at 30" shot a 400 grain Easton arrow at 161fps. A fiberglass arrow is about 1400grains so if you are getting 142fps you have a damn good design

If you would shorten your bow to about 52-50 inches and recurve it, you'll get better with the 400 grain Eastons. But 161 fps will kill anything on the planet.

Im a 31.5" draw so this one at 58" tip to tip is too short already and 62lbs is way too much weight to shoot for fun. I shoot 67lbs all day on my Hoyt but a loaded up 62lbs tears my arms up after a while.
Im sure there are ways more speed can be had... But even my Oneida Black eagle wont shoot 140fps at 50lbs with a fishing arrow. If it did thatd be great.
